Veils are used to cover or partially obstruct a view.  Maybe it's a view
of something we are trying catch a glimpse of as we pier inside.  Inside a window guarded by a curtain, a cave veiled in darkness, eyes veiled with sunglasses or the head with a hijab.  Whatever the veil may be, many times we desire to see deeper into what's on the other side.  There is a distance maintained by the veil.  A distance, or separation, which cannot be breached without removal of the obstacle.  This obstacle can make it difficult to come together.  Let us find ways around, or to part, these veils and live in harmony with the environment.

Spring is definitely in the air!  One can see it, hear it, and smell it.  As I drive the country roads this time of year, it's like all the new growth is out of control and we are all playing the catch-up game with tractors, mowers and weed eaters!  When progress is made, a spring rain comes and there's six inches of new growth by morning!  The livestock are living in a land of plenty as rainfall brings a carpet of lush new grass across the pastures.
Have you heard the birds singing and chirping as they scout around looking for home sweet home.  Saw a bird this week bring in grass and twigs for nest construction.  What a busy time of year for the animal kingdom!  For those of you once again suffering through the beauty of spring, I offer a sincere "Bless You" to follow your sneeze after deeply inhaling the aroma of spring.  May you too find joy in the beauty as you once again wipe away tears from itchy watery eyes.

    A Mattingly -
Creating inspiration out of ordinary glances.

Some people are beach or lake people.  I have always been a river and mountain person.  Wherever the place is that speaks to your soul, go there often!

"May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, and leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds."
                     - Edward Abbey
