Just Enough Light
your passions and skills to honor God by using the tools He gave you to solve a God-sized problem! The only way someone can solve a God-sized problem is to turn to God for direction, guidance and the necessary tools. He wants us to trust Him fully and to rely on His guidance.
God gives us just enough light in our darkness to reveal the path so we can take the next step. I like to think the brightness of His light is protecting us from the self-doubt, nay-sayers and obstacles lurking in the darkness that surrounds us. We don’t have to see the entire path, just the next step. We only need enough light for clarity and then to get out of God’s way and let Him lead! But remember, to make progress we must walk! Maybe small steps at first. As our trust in Him grows, our steps will become larger. No, we won’t reach the goal overnight. We may stumble or fall along the way. Despite the challenges, keep walking in the light He provides. God will use you as you are, and with what you already know and have. When we follow God’s direction, He will bless us with more than we could have ever imagined.
Here's a little teaser from the Purple Manna Pass It On devotion...
...Have you ever looked back to notice the lessons learned, information gained or connections made during a trying time in your life? I believe these were no accident. In fact, they were exactly what you needed in preparation for God's plan for your life. No matter how lost we become, or how many detours we take in life, we will always be given something from the experience that will help us to grow and give us the courage we need to keep moving forward---even if we slip and roll down the hill again. Who knows, it might be on THAT hill, .....
I'm so excited to unveil my new devotions! Just released for public sale today is Volume 1. These devotions are stories from my heart---inspired by my adventures on the farm, hikes through nature and a sundry of other life events and experiences. My hope is to bring inspiration and joy to others. This is not your typical devotional design. Instead of a book or calendar, it's in greeting card format. The inside is packed full of inspiration! A full page devotion, followed by a page of printed scripture, prayer, meditation questions and a call to action. This design was chosen so you can easily enjoy the message and beauty of a card for a while before passing it on to someone else. I like to say:
Hang on to it for a while,

You never know when your actions or words will touch the lives of others. Sometimes in a good way, but sometimes in a not so good way. We all do and say things we later regret. How would you like to be a part of something wonderful? Able to touch the lives of others in a positive way? Something wonderful is coming that can be that tool for you!
Some people are beach or lake people. I have always been a river and mountain person. Wherever the place is that speaks to your soul, go there often!
"May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, and leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds."
